FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

GREENDOG CAMPAIGNS TAKES TWO PERALTA COMMUNITY COLLEGES DISTRICT TRUSTEES TO
RE-ELECTION IN 2010

San Rafael, CA (November, 2010)

GreenDog Campaigns was tapped to provide messaging, web and mail for two Peralta Community Colleges District Trustees facing tough opponents in the November 2010 election.

William “Bill” Riley and Linda Handy had seen the District through some tough times and helped get it back on its feet in the past few years.  Weathering low credit ratings and the loss of funding facing many Community College Districts, the two seasoned Trustees now faced their first real challengers in years of service on the Peralta Board.

It was clear that they needed help to take their “good news” about the Colleges’ recent improved performance record and students’ many and varied successes to the voting public. GreenDogs created dynamic websites, direct mail and social media to allow them to tell their stories, using testimonials from community leaders and students.  These efforts, coupled with an effective and tenacious field campaign, resulted in strong re-election victories for both, with Riley taking over the helm as Board President in 2011.
